Anaheim
Hotels:
Hello. Were
glad you’re here and welcome
to Southern California’s favorite
year-round playground: ANAHEIM/ORANGE
COUNTY. Here you’ll
find an unending array of activities
to discover. With so many sun-drenched
days, every minute of your visit to
Anaheim/Orange County will be filled
to capacity with fun things to do.
As the home to the original Disney
theme park, Disneyland,
and Disney’s California
Adventure, Anaheim/Orange
County is one of the most popular
destinations for families and travelers
from all over the world. Theme parks,
shopping, recreation, sports teams,
great accommodations and miles and
miles of sandy beaches, it’s
all at your fingertips.
There’s so much to do in Anaheim/Orange
County, you’ll have
to visit often. Theme Parks galore
just minutes away. DISNEYLAND celebrated its 50th anniversary
in 2005 and brings to life Disney’s
beloved characters in this Magic
Kingdom that has entertained
millions over the years. Disney’s
founding father, Walt Disney,
vowed the park would never be complete
“as long as there was imagination
left in the world.” The promise
is in tact today. The original Disney
Theme Park fills your imagination
with make-believe and makes everyone
feel like a kid again.
The new and distinctive park – Disney’s California
Adventure – is just
steps from Disneyland. Here visitors
can walk under the Golden Gate Bridge,
Soar over California on a one-of-a-kind
attraction, explore a Hollywood backlot,
flip over new thrill rides, raft down Grizzly Peak, or
explore bus-sized adventures in Flick’s
Fun Fair.
Just down the road in Buena Park, KNOTT’S BERRY FARM offers imagination of a different
sort and is really the first theme
park in the United States. From its
humble beginnings as a roadside berry
stand, Knott’s Berry Farm blossomed to an amusement
haven that includes thrill rides such
as GhostRider (the
largest wooden roller coaster in the
West) and the new ‘50’s
themed coaster, Xcelerator.
A Wild West stunt show is in store as well as authentic
steam train rides, but you must watch
out for the train robbers.
A few steps away from the gates at Knott's Berry Farm you will enter another dimension when you visit Medievel Times Dinner & Tournament. Located in Buena Park, Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament will transport you back to the 11th century, when Kings and Queens ruled the land and their Knights fought for the glory of their Kingdom. You and your family can celebrate the pagentry as the plot unfolds with shocking twists and turns, truth, honor and love eventually triumph over evil and peace is restored to the kingdom.
Whether they want to stay on the
shore or try out the Pacific Ocean
waves, Beach-Lovers can easily spend
a fun and relaxing day at on of Orange
County’s numerous beaches. Head
to Huntington Beach – Surf City that is -- and visit
the Surfing Walk of Fame and
the International Surfing Museum.
You’ll see firsthand why this
beach town has hosted surf competition
for more than 70 years. Want more?
How about a roaring fire cookout with
roasted hot dogs for dinner and s’mores
for dessert? For those looking to
stay mostly dry, take a nature walk
and visit the tide pools at Little
Corona del Mar Beach. You
can also Rollerblade, ride a bike
or skate your way down Newport
Beach. You’ll find
plenty of rental shops along the path
to help you with all your rental needs.
How about some Shopping?
You’ll feel like you’ve
found the gold at the end of the rainbow
when you visit Orange County’s
premier shopping areas and retail
emporiums. Take a trip and visit LAB Anti-Mall, brimming with funky boutiques, caters to cutting-edge shoppers. Nearby, Huntington Beach’s Main Street and Laguna Beach’s downtown district are big on bikinis and surfboards. Downtown Disney, an esplanade at Disneyland Resort, features family friendly shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Regional outlet discount shopping also is plentiful at places like the Anaheim Indoor Marketplace on Anaheim Boulevard, in Fullerton’s Disney’s Character Warehouse Outlet Store, or in Stanton’s Indoor Swapmeet of Stanton.
Sports & recreation, sightseeing
& attractions, shopping, day-trips,
Anaheim is the place for you.
